Grace Is For All

Jesus saves

The following information on God's Grace has been prepared by Pastor Kelly Cross. May God bless you as you read it.

When you say the word “grace” many things can come to mind. Some would say it’s what you say before a meal, and yes that’s what we call it, but grace that comes from God is so much more. The grace of God is His unmerited favor. In other words, it’s something He gives freely. You can’t earn it, but you can have it.

The Bible says God bestows His grace on us. Many have the mistaken idea that to be right with God you have to do all the right things, clean yourself up, so to speak, and then come to Him. But the Bible teaches that we can come to Him as we are and receive His grace by faith. God cleans people from the inside-out, not the outside-in.

I read a statement that said this: “Justice is when you get what you deserve. Mercy is when you don’t get what you deserve. And grace is when you get what you don’t deserve.” We get God’s love, forgiveness, and eternal life, not because we deserve it, for we have all sinned, but because He gives it freely by grace to all who will simply believe and accept it.

I believe non-believers and believers as well need to understand the amazing grace of God. Grace is God’s power working on our behalf to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. This grace is for everyone. Won’t you let yourself experience it now? Ask God for it. He’ll meet you right where you are.

The Bible says Jesus is full of grace and His love for you never ends. He will never quit on you or cast you away. To try to live by rules and regulations will only bring you bondage, fear and frustration, but to live in the grace of God brings joy, freedom, love, peace and the abundant life God wants you to have. It’s free and it’s for you. Grab hold of it in your heart and let God bless you beyond what you could ever imagine. He loves you so!.
